Main Colour Trends for Spring-Summer 2019

Twice a year, Pantone Colour Institute experts determine the colour trends for the upcoming season. Pantone Fashion Colour Trend Report is the main guide for the season's colour trends used by designers, stylists, and colourists worldwide.

In September 2018 top 12 Fashion Colour Trend Report for Spring and Summer 2019 was announced.

New York Pantone Palette includes 12 trendy colours complimented by 4 neutral shades.

All shades are designed to inspire confidence, energize and give vitality which is why fire shades will dominate this season.


Dynamic and vibrant “Fiesta” is associated with enthusiastic energy, passion and fire. Dresses, skirts, romantic blouses in the Fiesta shade will become bright accents for your summer wardrobe. Choose a purse or shoes in this shade to brighten your work outfit.


The deep and beautiful wine shade of Jester Red is a good alternative to Marsala.

This aristocratic, noble, and rich colour will look great on Winter colour type.


Turmeric is an enlivening orange that infuses a hint of pungency into the palette. Perfect to spice up your wardrobe this season.


According to Pantone, Living Coral is an animating and life-affirming coral hue with a golden undertone that energizes and enlivens with a softer edge. The light nature of Living Coral encourages fun and light-hearted activity. It represents the fusion of modern life.


The tantalizingly theatrical Pink Peacock fans out to a feast for the eyes. Great in evening wear if you need to attract attention to yourself.


Zesty yellow-green Pepper Stem encourages our desire for nature’s healthy bounty.

Try to combine it with Aspen Gold or Toffee.This combination will look great on tanned skin!


Brightening our day, sunny Aspen Gold stimulates feelings of joy and good cheer. This rich and expressive shade will look great in romantic blouses, skirts, trousers, dresses or outerwear.


Princess Blue is a majestic royal blue hue. Stylists recommend combining this shade bright contrasting Turmeric or Mango Mojito.


Deliciously irresistible, tasteful Toffee whets the appetite. This hue will look great in velvet, leather, suede or cashmere.

Toffee is good both in monochrome looks and in combinations with Pepper Stem, Terrarium Moss, Soybean, Eclipse, Sweet Corn and other shades of the 2019 Spring and Summer palette.


The golden yellow Mango Mojito feeds our craving for pleasant comforts. Compared to Aspen Gold, this colour is darker and more saturated. Use Mango Mojito items to add a bright accent to your look.


Terrarium Moss conjures up thoughts of flourishing foliage and the physical beauty in the natural world. This shade is ideal for casual or military clothing.

Neutral Shades Spring-Summer 2019

As for classic shades, this season Pantone experts listed Soybean, Eclipse, Sweet Corn and Brown Granite to be combined with deeper, vibrant and funky colors of the main collection.


Subtle Soybean naturally appeals as a reliable and versatile neutral.

This neutral shade is universal and looks great in both monochromatic styles and as a partner for other colors.


A deep blue redolent of the midnight sky, thoughtful Eclipse is both serious and mysterious.

The deep shade of Eclipse is a good alternative to black. Experts suggest using it in basic wardrobe and evening dresses. Ideal for the Winter color type.


Sweet Corn tempts with its soft and buttery attitude.

It is one of those colors that you never get tired of, regardless of the fashion trends that follow. Sweet Corn looks particularly nice with soft, lightweight fabrics that drape and flow.


Grounded and strong, Brown Granite is understated, authentic and timeless. Can be used in monochrome ensembles and in combination with other shades of trendy palette.
